CICS DB2 Interface for System Programmers

Overview:
This course replaces U3924. It teaches you how to implement the CICS-DB2 attachment facility. It includes instruction on configuring CICS-DB2 system, monitoring the attachment facility, and establishing attachment facility security and recovery procedures. In addition, the course includes a section on the new attachment supplied with CICS Transaction Server for OS/390 Version 1.2.

CICS system programmers who are responsible for supporting the CICS-DB2 interface.

- CICS TS for OS/390 Basic Tailoring (CI200) or CICS/ESA V4 Basic Tailoring (U3905) if using CICS/ESA
- DB2 Family Fundamentals (CF030)
Equivalent experience may be substituted for these courses.
